30th july 2007Day a hundred and eight.
he gave me a friend to accompany me on the walk home. we both stood on the oppsite sides of the road. he was by the first house at the corner block while i was passing through the playground area, one strap of my bag slung over my left shoulder while my arms were occupied with books. he didnt help me out but he accompanied me on my walk home. there he was shuffling with something beheath him on the ground, covering what ever remains of what he had just buried in that 'hidden spot' of his. he looked up at me as i passed on the opposite road. i smiled. the winds got stronger with each passing minute. it was so cold i had to rewrap myself in my jacket. i gave up trying to cover myself and decided to just make it for home in a run. without thinking, i broke into a run. he looked up from his digging and started to run with me. (note: i didnt use the word run after me because he wasnt)
noticing that he left his spot by the house and started to trod along with my run, i slowed down before coming to a stop so he could catch up. he caught up with me on the opposite side of the road- standing by the pillar of a lamp post, he looked up at me with much excitement to what i was going to do next. i started to walk again. he followed beside me on the other side. i looked straight ahead at the road before me, there was no need to look behind much because his bell would ring at the paces he took. i stopped and looked behind to see if he caught up. he stood still in his tracks, made a roundabout on the stop, pretending not to follow me-he diverted his attention to looking around him. i knew better.
i turned back on walking home. once again, his attention shifted to me. he followed with small little trods of which his bell rang continuously with each trod that he took. he wagged his tail at me. i stopped a couple of times to see if he was still catching up with me. i took the road while he walked on the pavement. for each time that i looked back over my shoulder, he stopped in his tracks, walked in a circle before finding a post to pee on. ( the only problem is: when i quinted at him
there was no pee at all. ) he was cute. he accompanied me all the way to the house from which was a long way from his own. it was a long walk home of which i have no idea till now if he made it back on his own. he left me by the porch as i called out to my cousins to help me open the garage door. he looked up at me. he didnt want to leave me just yet. he wanted to make sure i was okay. he wanted to play a bit more with me.
the garage door opened. midway, i walked in. he came to the front of the garage door just as i set foot in the garage. he wagged his tail at me. he didnt want to leave, not just yet. i watched the door close before my eyes as he backed off from the closing door. as it shut itself shut, that was the end of him. i didnt see him anymore. somehow, i hope he's safe back home.
morning. it had to break down at that moment. after i got onto the bus at the stop where i waited dutifully every morning, and after a turn by the junction's traffic light, the bus had to stop. the reason, pressure difference in the tyres. there wasnt much we could do as passengers, there wasnt much the bus driver could do either except for a call he made to the bus port for another bus to replace this one. the replacement bus came a few minutes too late. we changed over to the replacement with those few wasted mintues of waiting. i was going to be late. i had an in-class assignment to do for english and we had to be there three quarters to nine. i was really going to be late. no doubt about it. the bus carried on its route before the next bus came and caught up with it. once again, we had to change from the replacement bus to the next 883. when we finally reached cannington train station, it was a quarter past eight, i reached school on a normal basis at that time. the connecting bus 34 that i had to catch was waiting by its stand, many of us ran after the bus. i did and in turn ended by losing my bottle on the way. oh wells. i ought to get another one soon though i was glad since it lightened my bag load by that much. not too late. though drenched from the showers that morning while walking to school, i managed to reach class in time for the assesment.
'im so sorry john im late.'
'there's a first time for everything, amanda.'
he gave me my writing papers and set me down by my desk to start the essay. lucky for me, he just started the assessment then. i wasnt too late i hope. my mind was all fuzzed up from the cold weather and the soaked skin chilled my bones making it really hard for my fingers to hold my pen to start writing my first few letters. i shivered as i wrote down the question number. a few more of us came in later ( he was nice to accept our reasons of being late because of the showers). i finished my papers in due time, now im just hoping it'll turn out fine.
not my piggytail. hands off! it has to be that. somehow guys always seem to be attacted to touch those little tails that we have at the back of our heads. now you get my point as to why i rather prefer the shorter style ( this gives them no excuse to pull it down or anything, just a reason to mess and ruffle it up)
ive got three guys i need to be wary of. somehow when its just me and them, my piggytail always seems to be at stake. HAHA. ive spent my day running away from them or just whacking them whenever they touched it. a mere touch and you get a whack from me, gosh! it took me minutes to tie it up and you spend like less than a second to pull it out.
when it's not my tail at stake, it's my green converse-tongue sneakers of which somehow those three guys also have something against. it's something to do with the colour. gosh! green is nice. i bought it like months ago and right now, you should see it's state. its had the footprints of those few guys who have stepped on it. and the same goes for them, they have had my pretty shoe marked autograph of my print on their front of their shoes.
did i mention, i tasted sweet today. shayma was nice enough to 'lend' me his water for a drink since i had lost mine earlier thsi morning. it was those with the weird caps of which i couldnt open. he helped me with it. i took a drink without touching the edges. hardly much came out. he took it back from me saying how he'll be 'nice' enough to help me squirt the water into my mouth. i take my gullible side back. gosh! the next moment, we had our water fight with his sweetened water. my back was all wet, his front had the same result.
today was wet. literally the whole day it was raining with heavy showers at noon. im glad when i was going home the showers stopped if not, i would have just died trying to go against the winds while walking and shielding myself from the passing showers. HAHA. darryl drove me and shayma to the curtin bus station after chemistry class was done. sweet car. red gosh! nice! i have to learn driving soon (and guys stop mocking me. i know im short and i cant reach the brakes HAHA. cmon, im not that'short')
