15th august 2007Day a hundred and twenty four.
i had chemistry practical test in the morning followed by an applicable maths test in the early afternoon before lunch period. days like these are getting more common as the weeks pass by nearing towards the end of year term exams before i sit for my TEE. another three more months of studying before i take my well deserved break.
i had a few screw ups in the practical of which im really glad frank didnt notice or mark me down on anything well im hoping he didnt notice though ( crosses fingers;D) firstly, i diluted the solution to way above the calibrated mark in the volumetric flask. there was so much solution to pour into the flask 200ml of which the calibrated mark was at 250ml which only left me 50ml to do the rinsing of the funnel and beaker. i was just trying to be smart then by taking a dropper to remove whatever excess at the suface of the liquid, though i think it would have already affected my readings by then ( i couldnt be bothered to redo the whole experiment again) i must say, it was a ratheer foolish thing to even take part in but hey, it was much better rather than have frank walk around looking at why your volumes in the flask are more than the others. secondly, you had to place your titres out to let the lecturer inspect first before you clean up. well, i did. although i tried to clean up while my two titres stood in the middle of the cleaning process. one didnt survive though- i spilled a slight bit of it when i knocked it over with my elbow while reaching for the burette.
charmaine asked me a very good question this morning.
'hey, if you have two tests today,
then how come i didnt see you study for anything?'
'good point. well i did.'
'didnt you see me on the bed reading?'
'well but thats so little'
'its still studying!'
michelle sent me a message on why you shouldnt study at all if you want to get good grades.
study = no fail ---(1)
no study = fail ---(2)
(1)+(2): study + no study = fail + no fail
factorise it: study (1 + no) = fail (1 +no)
cancel out the ( 1 + no) on both sides of the equation leaving you with :
study = fail
no study = no fail
SO IN FACT, WHY SHOULD WE STUDY? give yourself a break have a kitkat! ( although in my case, it'll most probably be a cadbury bar or a time out since those are the only two chocolates that i have in my possesion) HAHA.
i wouldnt have to mind about eating too much chocolates and gaining the extra mass on top since i do exercise everyday. i have personal trainers to train with me.
i thank my own personal trainers ( somehow, their really good since they not only train you on your running and coordination skills, but also on mouth vocal lessons and arm wrestling. ) both trainers work on running although one of them cant run as fast as me which a good point ( i have more self confidence- nah. im just kidding) one of them works mostly on vocal lessons while the other on coordination and arm wrestling. who ever said i wouldnt get a whole body workout. dont i have one already?
training days are on mondays, wednesdays and fridays at before and after chemistry and applicable maths classes. dont have to bring any gear, just yourself and running shoes ( make sure you can run in them!) it helps if your can run away. a bottle or two of water would be encouraged during the session with the vocal teacher.
other than the personal training ive got in school. i do my own training at home- though im starting slow for now. 150 crunches a night in sets of 30. i need those abs;D HOTTIES
