18th august 2007Day a hundred and twenty seven.
happy 18th birthday shayma! although its only tommorrow but since im at it, for all the august 19th babies. happy birthday from me to you therefore, happy 17th birthday to edlyn too!we went out to fremantle today to celebrate shayma's birthday. it wasnt a really big one, just a small get together with everyone else- although there were only seven guys and four girls. it wasnt much since there wasnt a cake or anything. just loads of fun by the beach and the harbour.
i met michelle earlier in the morning at the city busport to go into the city to catch the train. it was a stupid thing to do considering that i have a straight two buses to get to fremantle. but oh wells, we both wanted to try the trains. hopped onto the fremantle line after almost getting lost in the station itself with all the different platforms serving different routes.
we had lunch at queens st. just a simple one since the rest were due to arrive at fremantle at 2 past. we ate at a sushi restaurant. i had my udon while michelle had her fish don and on top of that we shared a 8 piece salmon roll. gosh NICE. that's how you enjoy life. ( well i still think murru does it better- he treated himself to lobster at 50 a plate) gosh. HE CAN SPEND.
feeling bloated and all so full from all the gorging ourselves at lunch, we took a stroll down the road only to find ourselves lost whilst trying to find the right route to take for fremantle markets. we crossed roads twice and thrice, going back and forth, getting lost at almost every turn. thankfully, we had maps though they werent of much use either- too small to see.
we found fremantle markets after quite some time wandering about in the streets of the city. HA HA. the markets were the same most of the stores remained the same although there were some new stalls set up. we took a quick glance before rushing off to meet the rest. they just reached by the fishing boat harbour and were going to have lunch. me and michelle stopped by the outsides of the market to watch a street performance. we stayed for the whole one hour of the act. it was cool ( the guy swallowed burning swords) haha;D
took a stroll by the park and we stayed there for like more than half an hour, lying on the grass soaking in the sun taking stupid and i mean stupid pictures on the grass where we lay by, scaring the seagulls off and plucking grass strands from the bed. we played on the monkey bars also. ( not bad- i can still go across twice) we wanted so badly to try the swings but they were taken up oh wells.
we met the rest by the boat harbour soon enough while they were finishing up on their meal. i stole daddy's chips. HA HA . who asked him to finish the slowest while everyone already gobbled up theirs leaving me hardly any. they kept taking off my cap. dammit and my hair was super flat from the cap itself.
the beach was super nice. we played in the sand climbing weird wooden poles that stucked out of nowhere. the guys climbed unto a wooden platform that was too high for any of the girls to reach. getting the birthday boy up there was a big hassle. haha. imagine the number of guys pulling him up. it was hilarious. HA HA though it wasnt easy to climb it also since there was no support just pure arm muscles to get you up. darryl has them. he's tall and has every last inch of his bod with muscles. gosh! HAHA. ( droools) he pulled me up and michelle separately.
lying on the plank was nice watching the sunset and the sky above glazed with clouds from teh setting sunset. it was great. the winds were moderate and the air was fresh. it was warm and great to catch a nap lying down. we all did. the three of us. me shayma and michelle. we talked till we got hungry and went for dinner.
the day was great. the people were awesome. the place was wonderful. the event totally rocked, and best of all. the FOOD totally jammed everything! i love fremantle!
