2nd august 2007Day a hundred and eleven.
the days are getting colder and the nights are setting in earlier. somehow, what seemed to be nightfall by 6 was already dark by 5. and on days, i end classes late, i have to pratically walk in the dark since there wasnt much lights to go around the whole of perth. HAHA. the winds are getting colder and stronger that even my old umbrella aint a match for it.
it just took me one occasion to have the umbrella overturned before i gave up completely on the use of such a device here in winter. it was, let's just say
hopeless since the winds would just overturn it the other way, shielding you from obviously nothing. therefore, i'll rather just walk under the rains with my hood on than bother to even adjust what's left of my umbrella in its sorry state. the bin was so close- i could just reach it within miles to dump that piece of junk inside of which had no longer serve any purpose to me. i decided not to. all singapore goods were still much better than australia goods. i shallnt allow one downfall criticise the rest of the goods. i held onto it. the cold weather these days seem to attract an even larger crowd at the cafeteria at lunch break. the canteen, well you could put it in this way, was swarmed with people right after the long hand of the clock needle touched 35. it was hard to even get a seat if you didnt have people you knew, reserve it for you.
lunch today was hilarious. aileen and september kept on laughing at what seemed nothing at all to begin with since the rest of us were just amused by the way they laughed but yet knew nothing to why they were in that state. trust me, it's never a good idea when september gets high and she starts waving her hands in the air exclaiming stuff. i looked like a total idiot sitting next to her. even me and chris were looking wide- eyed at her the whole time. it was hilarious.
'how do you screw someone?'
'take a screwdiver and insert in and screw it tight'
'but then,
where to insert?'
ENGLISH was boring but yet fun at the same time. we had to watch a documentary film on cane toads in queensland, australia. HAHA. in my opinion, all documentary films i have watched so far are all boring except the ones my mum subscribes to on geographic channel or animal planet but documentary films on cane toads is a no no for me. HAHA. almost half of us were dreaming away or just snoozing in between the film. me and darryl were both slouched in our chairs with our heads against the chair backing. he's a size ten! omg. im like only half of what he's wearing on his feet. a size four or so.
john told us a joke on what happened in his other classes that he took. (the international students batch)
'one negative aspect of australians is that they love to say the word
FUCK'
let me tell you this, john was shocked haha;D because it came from the mouth of a china student but yet he was laughing away after that because if you consider this, well, most australians do have the fondness to say that word whenever they get angry. HAHA.
i am speaking from personal experience. the bus that i usually catch in the early mornings always has this young kid saying fuck to everything. HAHA. a normal conversation that comes out of his mouth would be something like 'oh fuck, that car is fucking nice.' or 'fuck that guy on the road.' im not sure if youre used to it. but im not. having someone sit behind you on going on, on how fucking nice that car beside the bus is aint helping at all. HAHA or like how he wants to fuck the guy on the road. i dont need those descriptions either.
