7th august 2007Day a hundred and sixteen.
i havent been blogging of late. there's just so much on my hands that even touching my computer when i get back home would be considered a wonder. the homework's been piling up on my desk ( somehow i havent got much room left either to work on), the tests have to scheduled to come every week and assignments are still left to be completed.
somehow, i dont even remember myself being so burnt out from this much work and studies. im tired. i really am. everyday you come home knowing at the back of your mind that you have homework left to be completed by the next day, tests up and assignments due. it's not easy. somehow, it's so easy to say hang in there for just three or so months more, but everyday's passing by so slowly. i dont seem to have the luxury of time on my hands ever since i was here to slack- i couldnt. not when i felt that i had an obligation to do well and score in my subjects. the pressure im giving myself to work hard is setting in. everything taking a toll on my mind (ive been studying a lot more and playing yet so little) it's not that i would even prefer to study over play, it's the basic fact that i have assignments and tests due the week after that im left with so little time for recreation.
my four months here and i have only went out a couple of times ( rounding up to 6) to the city with other occasions to buy groceries at the shopping mall. ive only watched like one show at night on the television, shrek two and other than that, ive not touched the television at all. ive not went out for a run ever since i arrived ( the weather's been too cold for that). you could say for these four months ive been here, it's been strictly studying, eating, sleeping and onlin-ing.
6th august 2007 there was a hail storm at around three that day. i was glad i was still in school and not out there waiting for the bus or worst walking home in the open. hailstorms are painful when youre their victim way below them. they fall hard onto you without any mercy and it's cold bites into your skin. no kidding. though the ones ive seen were just tiny balls ( of the size of a mothball) but from the height they are falling at, trust me. you wont want to be standing way below for them to target upon you.
we were in maths class when it all started. it sounded like someone was tapping upon the rooftops before the light taps turned into loud banging. it didnt stop. it just kept on banging and before you knew it you see white ice falling from the sky. they dont fall lightly at all- the force at which they fell form the sky was almost the same as a young kid throwing hard rocks at you. it showed the small birds no mercy either as they kept falling from the sky.
we were all distracted, even the lecturer was. we knew it was mean to laugh at the poor birds getting hit by large boulders of ice, but we just did. it was hilarious then. the winds were so strong that it kept blowing the birds backwards while they tried so hard to flap their winds to get themselves to safety on the trees. every inch that they make nearer to the trees for shelter only ended themselves being blown back further.
hails like this arent common much in winter since its not that cold as compared to other countries in winter. i just guess im lucky enough to have seen and yet not have gotten myself into a situation which calls for it.
